What it is, and what is known
A synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derived from the pineal extract epithalamin. Human evidence is thin and comes almost entirely from a single Russian research group (Khavinson and colleagues, St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology); those reports have not been independently replicated outside that group and the longevity and telomerase claims attached to it should be treated as unproven. It is not an approved medicine in the US or EU.
Dosing convention is a short pulsed course rather than continuous use: typically 5-10 mg daily for 10-20 days, repeated once or twice a year. The plasma half-life is very short (reported in minutes), so no meaningful hourly figure is listed here. The active-malignancy flag is precautionary, on the theoretical basis of the claimed telomerase activation.
